Posture
Professional franchising characterised by structure, partnership and a forward-looking approach.
We do not simply wish to provide expert support for franchising in Germany; we want to play an active role in shaping it: making it more professional, more effective and more visible. Our approach shapes the way we view franchise systems, collaboration, change and development.
Mission Statement
Our mission statement explains why FranchiseForYou exists, what kind of future we want to help shape, how we contribute to this, and what values guide our actions.
We want to make franchising in Germany more professional, more effective and more visible.
We would like to help ensure that franchising gains greater prominence in Germany and is increasingly recognised as a professional, partnership-based and sustainable model for growth. In our view, franchising offers significant opportunities for sustainable growth, entrepreneurship and effective collaboration. We want to raise the profile of these strengths and help ensure that franchising gains greater relevance and recognition in Germany.
Our vision is to create franchise systems that are financially robust, run on the basis of partnership, and remain sustainable even during periods of change.
We believe in franchise systems that not only grow, but are managed with clarity, accountability and good cooperation. Successful systems create economic strength, align the interests of head office and partners, and remain stable even when markets, strategies or leadership structures change. It is precisely this interplay of strength, partnership and resilience that forms the vision for the future to which we wish to contribute.
We provide comprehensive support to franchisors and their systems throughout their development phases.
We support franchisors and their systems through every stage, from establishment and expansion to performance, Renewal and Succession. To this end, we create sustainable structures, strengthen collaborative partnerships and ensure systems are fit for the future through digitalisation and AI. Our aim is not merely to improve franchise systems through individual projects, but to design them to be effective, adaptable and resilient throughout their various stages of development.
Enthusiasm for franchising
We are truly passionate about developing strong franchise systems and believe in the power of professional franchising.
Eye level
We treat customers, partners and teams with respect and openness, and are committed to working together as partners.
Loyalty and integrity
We take a long-term view of collaboration, act with reliability and, even in challenging times, stand for clarity, trust and responsibility.
Effectiveness with substance
We don’t develop superficial solutions; instead, we create clarity, structure and progress that really make a difference in everyday life.
Progress with a vision for the future
We use digitalisation and AI where they have a real impact and help systems to progress in the long term.
Franchising is at its most effective when franchisors, franchisees and the system as a whole work together in a spirit of partnership based on a win-win-win approach. This is precisely what we aim to contribute to through our work: professional, effective and sustainable franchise systems with greater appeal in Germany.
Our Identity
FranchiseForYou does not see itself as a traditional consultancy that simply delivers concepts from the outside and then disappears again. We work with franchisors, their teams and their systems to develop solutions that work in practice, embed knowledge and genuinely enable development. Our mission statement sets out how we approach collaboration, responsibility, change and effectiveness – and what clients can expect when working with us.
We bring our own management experience, franchise expertise and best practices from operational and strategic system management to our work. This results not in purely theoretical concepts, but in solutions that are both strategically sound and practical for day-to-day use.
We don’t just think in terms of models, but in terms of feasibility, responsibilities and impact within a real-world system context.
Our aim is not simply to produce good presentations, but to enable progress. We want to make franchise systems clearer, more stable, more professional and better equipped for the future. That is why we are working on solutions that not only sound good, but actually work in day-to-day franchise operations.
We believe that the quality of consultancy cannot be measured by presentations alone, but rather by whether clarity, decision-making, collaboration and development within the system are genuinely improved.
We work closely with the people who are at the heart of the processes, who bear responsibility and who drive change. In doing so, we make a point of involving teams, bringing different perspectives to light and fostering an understanding of the bigger picture, the decisions involved and the next steps.
This not only produces a result, but also fosters acceptance, involvement and knowledge within the system. This is particularly crucial in franchise systems, because viable solutions can only be developed if head office, management and – where appropriate – franchisees are involved in the process.
We address issues head-on, highlight contradictions and do not shy away from uncomfortable topics. We do this not from a distance, but out of a sense of responsibility for the system and our shared success.
For us, openness, clarity and directness are essential to a professional working relationship. We believe that development can only succeed where problems are not sidestepped but tackled constructively.
Our aim is not to create a long-term dependence on consultancy. We want to embed knowledge, empower teams and make organisations more effective. For us, effective collaboration is also reflected in the fact that clarity, structure and responsibility are increasingly embedded within the system itself.
That is why we do not view knowledge transfer, participation and joint development as a side effect, but as an integral part of good project work.
FranchiseForYou operates in a structured manner, based on partnership and with a strong focus on practical implementation. We bring experience, clarity and enthusiasm for franchising to the table, and provide support where systems need guidance, substance and the capacity for development.
Our customers can expect us to think proactively, speak plainly, foster a spirit of cooperation and develop solutions that are not only conceptually sound but also work in practice.
Methodology
Every collaboration with FranchiseForYou starts differently – but never by chance. It is important to us that getting started is straightforward, that the partnership fits your system, and that solutions are not only conceptually sound but also work in practice. That is why we work in a structured, collaborative manner, staying closely in touch with the people within the system – from the initial assessment during the first meeting, through in-depth analyses, right through to joint implementation of the project.
An initial consultation is the easiest way to get to know FranchiseForYou and to receive an initial professional assessment of your situation.
During the initial consultation, we’ll get to know each other in person via video conference. You’ll present your system, your idea or the issue you’re currently facing to us, and receive immediate feedback from us.
Depending on the complexity of the matter, we may develop initial solutions during the discussion itself, or provide you with structured feedback afterwards on possible next steps.
The initial consultation is free of charge and will help you quickly assess whether and how working together might be a good idea.
The Franchise Quick Scan is a structured on-site analysis for franchisors who wish to gain a better understanding of their system, identify areas of potential and establish a clear roadmap for the next stages of development.
It is particularly useful for systems that ask themselves:
- where untapped potential lies
- which issues are most relevant for the future
- how digitalisation and AI can be put to good use
- how growth, development and organisational culture can be actively shaped
- how the system remains stable and sustainable even in times of significant change
The Franchise Quick Scan is a comprehensive and forward-looking analysis of your franchise system, based on our many years of operational, strategic and digital franchise experience.
We analyse your data and documents, visit your premises, speak to your teams and – where appropriate – your franchise partners as well. This gives us a comprehensive picture of your current challenges, potential and opportunities for development.
On this basis, we work together to develop practical strategies that will enable you to develop your franchise system in a sustainable manner and position it for the future.
What makes the Quick Scan special:
- rapid acquisition of knowledge
- a manageable and predictable budget
- a personal on-site look
- Involvement of head office and, where necessary, franchise partners
- Guidance based on 10 building blocks for success
- Concrete, actionable recommendations rather than abstract analysis
The 10 building blocks of success
The building blocks of success are the perspectives through which the Quick Scan examines a franchise system. They help to systematically identify strengths, gaps, priorities and areas for development.

We don’t just work for your team – we work with your team. After all, sustainable solutions emerge where knowledge, perspectives and responsibility come together.
In every project, we believe it is important to have a clearly defined project lead. At the same time, we make a point of speaking to the staff who actually carry out the day-to-day work. In this way, we combine strategic vision with operational reality.
Depending on the topic, we adopt a balanced mix of face-to-face meetings on site and virtual sessions. Particularly at the start of projects, it is important to get the management team and senior leadership on board together. To this end, we frequently use workshop formats that encourage participation, bring different perspectives together and foster a shared understanding.
In doing so, we like to make use of collaborative methods and structures, such as those drawn from Design Thinking and Liberating Structures.
In many projects, we also take into account not only the head office’s viewpoint, but also that of the franchisees. Particularly when changes or solutions affect franchisees, involving them at an early stage is a key factor in ensuring their subsequent acceptance and effectiveness.
Where external service providers are involved, such as software integrators, we also work with them on a partnership basis. In doing so, we always act in our clients’ best interests and do not accept any agency commissions or similar arrangements.
We work with start-ups as well as larger organisations – from founders at their first location right through to corporate headquarters reporting directly to senior management or the board of directors. In doing so, we adapt to our clients’ expectations, routines and decision-making processes.
In specific situations, we also provide temporary operational support – not as traditional interim managers, but as a pragmatic stopgap during sensitive phases.
Our focus is not on interim management, nor do we place staff or executives. However, there are situations in which a short-term shortage arises in a key role – for example, during transitional phases or when the right person has not yet been found.
In such cases, we can provide temporary, hands-on support to ensure that projects and key tasks continue to run smoothly and that the system remains operational.
Once the right person has been found, we provide support during the induction process, ensure the transfer of knowledge, and then step back. After all, our aim is always for systems to function independently in the long term.
Involvement in the German Franchise Association
The German Franchise Association represents the interests of the franchise industry in Germany and also sees itself as a quality-focused organisation. It represents the industry’s interests in the economic policy arena and supports the professionalisation and further development of franchising through standards, services and networks. It is precisely this commitment that aligns 100 per cent with our mission statement. ([German Franchise Association](https://www.franchiseverband.com/)) That is why FranchiseForYou is not only closely linked to the association but also plays an active role within it – through expert collaboration, its own initiatives and concrete contributions to the franchise community.
FranchiseForYou is known as Certified Associate Expert Part of the German Franchise Association. For us, this affiliation is more than just a network status. It is an expression of a shared commitment: to make franchising in Germany more professional, quality-oriented and sustainable.
Sylvia Steenken has chaired the committee since 2017 Digitalisation and Innovation of the German Franchise Association, the so-called Digitank.
Digitank addresses the most relevant future and digitalisation topics in franchising and works on them in collaboration with representatives from franchise head offices. Topics such as digital handbooks, digital academies, partner relationship management systems and artificial intelligence are presented in such a way that they result in practical resources for members – for example, videos, checklists and guides.
The aim of this thesis is to provide franchise systems with practical guidance and to improve quality within these systems in the long term.
As chair of the committee, Sylvia Steenken has been shaping the Committee for Digitalisation and Innovation (Digitank) since 2017. Right from the outset, she has contributed her passion for digital issues, her in-depth expertise and her keen insight into the challenges and opportunities of franchising. She supports the committee’s work not only in a technical capacity but also organisationally, with exceptional dedication. Her structured and process-oriented approach ensures that ideas are translated into concrete results. At the same time, she consistently provides important impetus for the further development of Digitank. With her eye for trends, innovations and practical developments, she ensures that the committee’s topics remain up to date, forward-looking and of genuine value to the franchising sector.

Women in franchising is an initiative linked to the German Franchise Association and is committed to making franchising more visible and attractive to women. The platform showcases women from the franchising world as franchisees, franchisors, franchise system operators and franchising experts; it also features a women’s network, a mentoring programme and events.
The initiative promotes exchange, visibility and development opportunities – and thus addresses an issue that is also important to FranchiseForYou: greater diversity, greater participation and greater visibility in the professional franchising sector.
For us, the Franchise Forum is far more than just an industry gathering. It is the place where the franchise community comes together, shares experiences, gains fresh inspiration and discusses the future of franchising.
We don’t just take part; we play an active role in shaping it. In 2024, Sylvia was on the panel “Digital literacy in franchise systems” spoke on behalf of the organisation and discussed why digitalisation can only be effective if people remain at the heart of it. Go to the article ‘Focus on People’
In 2025, Marcus shared his perspective on Leadership and Partner Management In 2026, Sylvia will be hosting the Praxis Lab "AI in partner management: a boost to efficiency or a relationship killer?".
For us, this commitment reflects our philosophy: we share knowledge, contribute practical experience and help to make franchising in Germany more professional, more digital and better equipped for the future.
Our involvement in the German Franchise Association is not a side issue. It forms part of our commitment to actively shaping the future of franchising in Germany.
For our customers, this means:
- Close alignment with the industry’s key future themes
- ongoing dialogue with franchise head offices, experts and trade association bodies
- An insight into developments in the areas of quality, digitalisation, professional development and partner management
- Perspectives that go beyond the individual project
In doing so, we bring not only project experience to the table, but also fresh ideas gained from actively shaping the franchise community.
